“Do you have a tool Chris could use to find his most engaged fans in Houston?” — Mark Zablow, Social Media Manager for NBA All-Star Chris Paul

Trufan is a tech platform, founded by Canada’s Top 20 under 20 Manu (Swish) Goswami, that helps the world’s biggest influencers and brands identify and reward their top fans. By using a proprietary algorithm, the platform aggregates data from Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube to show users their passionate, influential and casual fans that can be sub-filtered by location, gender, interests, and keywords. Our tool can directly help users set up local events, build influencer lists, sell directly to their top fans, structure retargeting campaigns and most importantly, build a loyal community. Through an internal tool we designed called Cerebro, we also offer users custom audiences made up of their competitor’s top fans.

The team behind Trufan has an average age of 21 and has already helped build successful businesses such as Dunk Media, Social Chain, and UndrTheRadr. By working remotely since the business’s inception, the team is the antithesis of a tech startup and has leveraged international relationships with the likes of the UFC, NBAPA, and NFL who are already testing the beta. Ever since we announced our project in December 2017, we started getting a lot of interest from high profile influencers and brands.

As of May 2018, we currently have over 200 influencers ready to test our beta, including Cody Ko, Kevin Hart, TLC, Dwayne Wade, Chris Paul, and Kyle Kuzma. We also have over 125 brands on board including Western Union, Chelsea Football Club, UFC, Under Armor, and TheScore.

With plans to launch publicly on June 15 and to raise a seven-figure investment later this year, TruFan has been guided by an experienced panel of advisors which include Karen O’Brien (Former Vice President, Global Social Media, Western Union), Eliot Robinson (CEO of Dunk Media), Ryan Holmes (CEO & Founder Hootsuite), Mark Zablow (CEO Cogent Marketing) and Brandon Steiner (CEO Steiner Sports).
