Trufan Acquires Leading Analytics Platform SocialRank
Acquisition propels Trufan towards becoming the world’s leading audience analytics platform
Today, we are thrilled to announce that we have acquired the world’s leading audience segmentation platform SocialRank.
We’ve spent the last two years building an intuitive and affordable platform to help brands activate their grassroots communities made up of superfans and micro-influencers. Since we began, we have been making waves in the Canadian startup community. Our company of 13 based in Toronto has raised over $1.8M CAD from several NBA players, media executives and Canadian venture firms and worked with numerous clients including K-Swiss, Supreme Cannabis, MLB and Kay Jewellers.
Our progress thus far and vision going forward put us in a great position to acquire SocialRank. SocialRank was founded in New York City by Alex Taub and Michael Schonfeld. Since they began in 2014, they’ve serviced thousands of clients including Samsung US, Netflix, NBA, NFL, Live Nation and L’Oreal. Whereas Trufan focused on fan engagement and has a deeper view on a customer’s audience, SocialRank is the best-in-class product for audience segmentation and has a priority on filtering/comparing audiences. It’s Google for audience analytics.
We will continue to operate and offer SocialRank as a standalone product and we are excited to service SocialRank’s clients. Also, SocialRank’s founders Alex and Michael will be coming onboard as strategic advisors. Both of them are pioneers in the social analytics space and their insights and feedback will most certainly help us get to the next level.
Along with this acquisition, we also raised an additional $400,000 USD from Round13 Capital. We greatly appreciate their support throughout these last few months.
On December 7, we will celebrate our two year anniversary and we are looking forward to ending the year strong. We will be integrating our platform with social media management platform Hootsuite, getting ready to co-produce an original content series around fandom with Best Crosses Studios and offering our customers the most comprehensive social intelligence platform on the market.
